Dr. Debora Brown, PT,
DPT, FNAP

Debbie has been married to her husband, Pete, for more than 30+ years. Following the completion of graduate school at Emory University, they relocated to Charleston in 1989 and have proudly called it home ever since.

Dr. Debora Brown, PT, DPT, FNAP, is a physical therapist with more than three decades of experience and served at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for nearly 33 years. She began her career as a full-time clinician, treating patients with orthopedic and neurologic conditions. In 2001, Debbie transitioned into academia, where she continued to provide patient care while teaching courses in orthopedics, clinical reasoning, and clinical education.

During her more than 20 years as a professor in the MUSC Doctor of Physical Therapy program, Debbie taught countless doctoral-level courses, became a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, and authored 18 publications in physical therapy and related professional journals.

Debbie has been qualified and testified as an expert witness in the field of physical therapy in South Carolina courts. Drawing on decades of experience working with patients and students, she provides valuable insight through case reviews and recommendations involving medical treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, and other healthcare-related issues. While she served in this role informally for many years, she officially joined the firm in 2021.

When she is not in the office, Debbie enjoys caring for the firm’s beloved mascots—Basset Hounds Buster and Biscuit, along with Molly, the family’s Golden Retriever. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, playing pickleball, and making memories with her adult children.
